The coolant ...I see which one you are referring to. The coolant drain plug is actually part number 154395 (which is the one shown in your link) and indeed is the correct plug for a later car. The hexagonal head of 154395 measures 3/4"AF.<br />According to the BL parts catalogues 129077 has a square head. Not sure where or when it was used as I have never seen one.<br /><br />Both engine sump and the (5-speed) gearbox drain plug have a hexagonal head which measures 15/16"AF. But I have seen some a different sump plug on early cars which had a tapered threaded plug with a square head.<br /><br />All threads on these cars have normal threads, so undoing is counter clockwise.
